1/ Memory Exercises of an Aging Thinker: Getting Older?
When we reach a certain age, we begin to forget things but we also start to remember things or wonder about things we never took the time to think about. To improve my memory or to give me so mething to think about, I’ve decided to write ‘Memory Exercises of an Aging Thinker.’ So, when does one start getting old?
With me, for one thing, for beginners, I cannot run anymore. This devastated me. It was that one day I had legs and the next, they were gone. I mean, I could run faster that you could jump prior to whatever happened! And suddenly, I was stopped in my tracks. Impaled to one spot or another. Seemingly fixed. It was so strange. At that time I did not asso ciate this with age at all.
There are many things that can cause this to happen I’ve been told, and yes, it happens to all of us, in different ways, at different ages, but still it happens. Something happens and we no longer can do so mething we’ve always done. With my Mom it was gardening, working in her yard…one day she just quit. With my Aunt Pete it was reading... one day she just quit. With me, it was dancing: I literally could not dance and dance and dance anymore. it’s called Aging and how we recognize it is that one day things change.
‘Memory Exercises of an Aging Thinker’ is good for my memory I’ve been told. LOL…I was told this by my Speech Therapist. I will not only remember, I will learn new things. I will have studied thoughts and random thoughts. History…Love. God. Life. Change! I’ve always appreciated thought and thinking. God is so good to us! If you get bored to death, don’t read these, however, I want to improve and/or keep my memory as long as I can.
